BOTOX ® (onabotulinumtoxinA) and DYSPORT ®  (abobotulinumtoxinA)  are cosmetic muscle relaxants made from a natural protein. A very small needle is used to skillfully inject this protein, relaxing the tiny facial muscles that cause facial wrinkles. These treatments are especially helpful in reducing the appearance of frown lines, horizontal lines that cross the forehead, downturned lines around the mouth, and crow’s feet around the eyes.

The results of your treatment appear gradually over the next 7-14 days, during which time you can almost immediately resume all of your normal social activities. The appearance of the results can range from softening of facial lines to full erasure of lines and wrinkles. A follow up appointment provides an opportunity for GLOW M+D injectors to check on the results, and administer any touch ups that may be desired.

The benefits of a treatment vary from person to person but typically last 3-4 months. Treatments can be safely repeated every few months with results often improving over time.

BOTOX ® and DYSPORT ®  have been safely used for decades, however it is not recommended if you are pregnant, or have been diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder Myasthenia Gravis. Side effects are very rare when treatments are professionally administered, but may include mild bruising or a temporary over-relaxation of facial muscles.
